Bullet Bound - Reloaded
I had a lot of ideas that i didnt get to accomplish when i created this game during a primitive shapes Jam.
I saw this Jam that talks about taking a game you've created in the past and improving it , or getting it close to completiong - https://itch.io/jam/improve-my-game-jam-30
It always bugged me that the previous jam only allowed to use primitive shapes (circle, square, etc') and only up to 3-4 on a single sprite.
My list of current improvements and enhancements are:
UI and game feel:
- Total Revamp of the UI
- 2D Lightning
- Change from Retro sounds to "real" new up to date sounds and music
- Add Options and Credits pages
Gameplay:
- Add player dash
- Show bullet trajectory
- Bullet force/speed controlled by button press time - press longer gives you a faster bullet
- Moving finish doors
- Easy/Hard modes
- Boss fights
- Maybe add 10 more levels
What i managed to get done on Day 1 (24th Nov):
Duplicated the Game so i'll work on a fresh copy and keep the old one (at the end) as an old version called "Bullet Bound"
- Dash (in all top-down directions)
- Basic trajectory from the Gun point to the Cursor
