Bullet Bound - Reloaded


I had a lot of ideas that i didnt get to accomplish when i created this game during a primitive shapes Jam.

I saw this Jam  that talks about taking a game you've created in the past and improving it , or getting it close to completiong - https://itch.io/jam/improve-my-game-jam-30

It always bugged me that the previous jam only allowed to use primitive shapes (circle, square, etc') and only up to 3-4 on a single sprite.

My list of current improvements and enhancements are:

UI and game feel:

  1. Total Revamp of the UI
  2. 2D Lightning
  3. Change from Retro sounds to "real" new up to date sounds and music
  4. Add Options and Credits pages

Gameplay:

  1. Add player dash
  2. Show bullet trajectory
  3. Bullet force/speed controlled by button press time - press longer gives you a faster bullet
  4. Moving finish doors
  5. Easy/Hard modes
  6. Boss fights
  7. Maybe add 10 more levels

What i managed to get done on Day 1 (24th Nov):

Duplicated the Game so i'll work on a fresh copy and keep the old one (at the end) as an old version called "Bullet Bound"

  1. Dash (in all top-down directions)
  2. Basic trajectory from the Gun point to the Cursor
