Day 3 - What will 4 hours looks like


Day 3 - what will 4 hours of work get me?

Today was the first day that i actually had free time to work, i was fresh with 800ml caffeine in my blood and was all hyped to making good progress.

i love the feeling of having a HUGE backlog and you're pretty much set on how to make that code work, you just have to sit down and get it done!


Its starting to look like an Idle Clicker game :D


What i accomplished on Day 3:

Here's a breakdown per Hour:

20:00P- 21:00
  • Managed to simulate a FULL combat cycle which was actually pretty fun :)
  • Full automated battle cycle to test things out without working too hard
  • Lots of bug fixes and tinkering around the combat that i found along the way, gotta stop and fix some bugs at some point
21:00-22:00
  • Implemented Health bars which was very easy to do when everything is written generally including interfaces, added to to:
    • Player characters
    • Enemy characters
    • Player laboratory
    • Enemy laboratory
  • New enemy type - Moving enemy full AI completed, including detection and projectiles damage output
22:00-00:00
  • Stated working on UI + functionality (which was most of the time)
  • Fully operational Resources buttons, they increase the resource every time click:
    • MutaEnergon - the main click in this clicker game
    • MutaCrystals - extra resource
    • MutaPowder - extra resource
  • UI for displaying the resources on top via Text elements (for now)
  • Passive Skills :
    • Increase production of any of the 3 resources
    • Fully operational cost validation - if you dont have the currency the button is blocked
  • Spawn Player character button also costs energon and has button enabled validation in case of insufficient currency
  • Placeholders for Arm mutation UI
